DREADMOOR’s file size has not been officially confirmed yet. The Steam listing does, however, publish a storage requirement of 60 GB available space for both minimum and recommended specs, which serves as the install size figure for the PC (Windows) release on November 9, 2026. Below we list what is confirmed, what is still missing, and how much free space we suggest keeping ready.
DREADMOOR download size by platform
PC is the only announced platform. We will replace every “not confirmed” in this table with official numbers as soon as they appear.
| Platform | Store | Download size | Install size | Preload | Free space needed |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| PC (Windows) | Steam | Not confirmed | Not confirmed | Not announced | Not confirmed |
| PlayStation 5 | None | Not announced | Not announced | Not announced | Not announced |
| Xbox Series X/S | None | Not announced | Not announced | Not announced | Not announced |

Console versions have not been announced. Our console rows do not mean ports are coming. They mark where data would go if the publisher announces them.
What is confirmed so far
We can confirm three details from official channels. DREADMOOR is coming to PC on Windows, it is listed on Steam, and the release date is November 9, 2026. The developer has also put out a demo announcement trailer that shows more of the Submerged Lands. Gaming outlets covered that trailer when the demo set sail.
We could not confirm a storage line in the system requirements, a recommended SSD requirement, or a preload date. If you see a precise gigabyte figure for DREADMOOR on a retailer or aggregator page right now, treat it as unverified. We could not find a primary source for it.
About DREADMOOR
The official description presents DREADMOOR as a dark fishing adventure with survival elements. You take a boat out into a flooded world, fish the waters of the Submerged Lands, fight what lives beneath them, and upgrade your vessel between trips. Its interface and store text are in English. We will add full language support once the store lists it.
This genre matters for size estimates only loosely. Smaller fishing and survival games often need modest storage, but the final number depends on texture quality, audio and how much content ships on day one. We will not guess a range.
The demo is not a reliable size guide
The demo will tell you whether your PC runs the game smoothly. It will not tell you the final file size. Demos usually include only one slice of the world and often use builds that change before launch. The full release may also add areas, creatures, music and localisation files. When the developer publishes the full game’s storage requirement, we will use that figure instead of the demo footprint.
How much free space to keep ready
Steam usually downloads a compressed package and then unpacks it. The install therefore often ends up larger than the download. Updates also need temporary room, because Steam stages patched files before replacing the old ones. Until the official number lands, we recommend keeping clear headroom beyond whatever figure the store eventually lists.
Live-service games show how much storage can grow after launch. Our notes on Fortnite PC storage requirements cover that pattern. A largely single-player boat and fishing game like DREADMOOR should grow less after launch, but large content updates would still add to the install.
How to check the size yourself on Steam
- Open the DREADMOOR Steam store page.
- Scroll to System Requirements.
- Read the Storage line under Minimum and Recommended.
- After buying, check the disk space shown in the install window.
Good to know
If preloading is enabled, Steam shows a Preload button on your Library page. The developer has not announced preloading yet, so follow the official Steam page and social channels for the date.
Where to buy DREADMOOR
Steam is the only confirmed storefront for the Windows version. The developer has not announced listings on the Epic Games Store, GOG or other PC stores. The final price and any pre-order bonus are also not confirmed on our end. We will add both once the store page shows them.
What happens next
Storage requirements usually appear on the Steam page in the weeks before release. Exact download and preload sizes often become visible only when preloading opens or launch-day files go live. We will refresh this page as each detail lands. We use the same method on our Emberville file size page and our other pre-launch size trackers.
