No price has been announced for Hela: of Mice & Magic, and no editions or pre-order bonuses are confirmed. The one firm launch fact I can give you is the date: December 1, 2026 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. I’ll keep this page updated as the developer and the store listings fill in the rest.
What is confirmed and what isn’t
Most launch-set searches for this game land on the official site, the studio’s social account or a hands-on preview. None of those give you a price yet. Here is the current status of every item people ask about, in one place.
| Item | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Release date | Confirmed | December 1, 2026 |
| Launch platform | Confirmed | PC (Windows) |
| Standard price | Not announced | No figure on any official channel |
| Deluxe or premium edition | Not announced | No edition list published |
| Pre-order bonuses | Not announced | No pre-order offer is live |
| Game Pass | Not announced | No Microsoft listing for the service |
| PS Plus | Not announced | No PlayStation listing for the service |
| Release time (unlock hour) | Not confirmed | Usually set closer to launch |
I’m grading all of this against official sources only: the developer, Windup Games, and storefront pages. If you see a specific dollar figure on a retailer page or a forum post right now, treat it as a placeholder. Retailers often list a temporary price to open a product page, and those figures rarely match the final one.
Price by platform
The table below is the one I’ll fill in first when pricing goes live. Until then, every cell is honest about the gap.
| Platform | Standard edition | Premium edition | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| PC (Windows) | Not announced | Not announced | Launch platform confirmed |
| PlayStation 5 | Not announced | Not announced | Not confirmed for December 1 |
| Xbox Series X and S | Not announced | Not announced | Not confirmed for December 1 |
The brief I’m working from confirms the PC date, and that is what I’m treating as fact. Console versions have come up in coverage of the game, but I won’t list a PlayStation or Xbox price or date until a store page with that information goes live. A trailer logo isn’t enough for me to put a date in a table.
Why I’m not estimating a number
I could guess based on what similar small co-op adventures cost, but this page exists to give you verified numbers, and a guess would mislead anyone budgeting for December. Indie studios also price in very different ways. Some launch at a low flat price with no extra editions. Others add a supporter pack with a soundtrack and art book. Nothing Windup Games has said so far points one way or the other.
If you’re comparing against blockbuster pricing, the gap is large. Big publisher releases tend to stack three or four tiers, which you can see in our breakdowns of GTA 6 price and editions and Modern Warfare 4 pricing. Hela is a much smaller project, and I’d be surprised to see that kind of ladder. I’ll call that an expectation, not a fact.
Editions: what each one would include
No edition list exists yet. When one does, I’ll break down each tier here with the exact contents. These are the details I’ll be checking for:
- Base game contents. Whether the standard edition is the full game with all co-op features included.
- Digital extras. Soundtrack, digital art book, cosmetic outfits for your mouse or a backpack variant.
- Early access. Some premium editions unlock a few days early. Nothing like that is announced here.
- Post-launch content. Whether any expansion or season of content is planned and bundled.
Cosmetics would suit the game, since you play as a tiny mouse whose look and gear are easy to dress up. That’s a design observation, though, not a leak or an announcement. No source I’d call reliable has described any edition contents.
Pre-order bonuses
There are no pre-order bonuses, because pre-orders haven’t opened. On PC, the action you can take today is wishlisting, which is free and doesn’t commit you to buying.
When pre-orders do open, I’ll list each bonus here, say which stores offer it, and note whether it’s exclusive to pre-orders or something every buyer gets later. That distinction matters. Plenty of “pre-order bonuses” turn out to be launch-window bonuses that last a week or two after release.
How to get notified when pricing goes live
- Open the Steam store and search for Hela: of Mice & Magic.
- Click Add to your Wishlist on the game’s page.
- In Steam’s notification settings, enable emails for wishlisted items.
- Follow the official Hela social account for edition announcements.
Game Pass, PS Plus and other subscriptions
Subscription status is one of the most common questions, and the answer is the same across the board: nothing announced.
| Service | Day-one inclusion | Status |
|---|---|---|
| PC Game Pass | Not announced | No listing |
| Xbox Game Pass (console) | Not announced | No console version confirmed |
| PS Plus Extra or Premium | Not announced | No PlayStation version confirmed |
| EA Play Pro | Not applicable | Not an EA title |
Microsoft and Sony usually announce day-one subscription deals at their own showcases, often months ahead of release. If Hela turns up in one of those, it’ll be a clear official statement, and I’ll update the table the same day. Ignore lists that claim to “predict” subscription line-ups. Those are speculation, and I don’t treat them as sources.
Release date and launch timing
December 1, 2026 is the confirmed date for PC. The exact unlock hour isn’t public yet. Steam games usually unlock at a single global moment, but the time is set by the publisher, and I won’t guess it.
| Time zone | Unlock time |
|---|---|
| PT (Los Angeles) | Not confirmed |
| ET (New York) | Not confirmed |
| BST / GMT (London) | Not confirmed |
| CEST / CET (Berlin, Paris) | Not confirmed |
| JST (Tokyo) | Not confirmed |
| AEDT (Sydney) | Not confirmed |
One small note for when the time does land: December falls after daylight saving ends in Europe and North America. London will be on GMT and Central Europe on CET, not BST and CEST. Sydney will be on AEDT. I’ll label the final table with the correct winter offsets.
Good to know
Preloading on Steam usually opens a short time before release, if the publisher enables it. No preload window or file size is announced yet, so check your free disk space in late November.
What you’re actually buying
For anyone landing here without context, Hela: of Mice & Magic is a co-op puzzle adventure from Windup Games. You play as a small mouse in a world steeped in Scandinavian folklore, connected to a witch named Hela. The game’s pitch centres on exploration at mouse scale: running, swinging and climbing across oversized environments, solving puzzles with other players, and crafting along the way.
That matters for pricing in one practical way. Co-op games sometimes sell in friend packs or bundles so a group can buy together. No bundle like that is announced for Hela, but if you’re planning to play with friends, it’s worth waiting for the full edition list before buying a single copy.
Hands-on previews from demo builds have run on gaming sites, and the official channels (the website, newsletter and the @helagame social account) have shared footage and news. None of them has published a price, though. If a preview mentions a number, check whether the developer actually said it before you trust it.
How I’m grading sources on this page
I use a simple reliability scale for every claim on launch-set pages:
- Official: Windup Games, the official site and social accounts, and verified storefront pages. These are the only sources that move a cell from “Not announced” to a real value.
- Proven reporters: Established outlets quoting the developer directly. I’ll mention these, clearly attributed.
- Community or datamine: Database sites that scrape store backends. Useful as early signals, never treated as final.
- Anonymous or unverified: Forum posts and placeholder retailer prices. I don’t use these for numbers at all.
Right now, nothing at levels 1 or 2 includes a price, edition or bonus for Hela. I’m not aware of any credible leak about its pricing either.
If you’re tracking several December-window releases, our pages on Emberville price and editions and Dreadmoor price and editions follow the same approach, so you can compare what’s confirmed side by side as launch details arrive.
