DREADMOOR is dated for 9 November 2026 on PC (Windows), but no exact unlock hour has been announced yet. This page lists the confirmed date in every major time zone, the most likely unlock windows based on how Steam launches usually work, and what is still unknown. It will be updated when the time is announced.
DREADMOOR release date and time
The confirmed release date is Monday, 9 November 2026, and the only confirmed platform is PC (Windows). The store listing does not give an hour, and no official post has announced one.
Steam usually launches a game at one moment worldwide. Your local date may not match the listed date. A daytime launch in Europe or North America lands on 10 November in Japan and Australia.
What the date means in each region
Until an hour is set, the safest answer is the calendar window you should watch. The table below shows when 9 November begins and ends in each zone. It also lists the UTC offset in force that week, because daylight saving will have ended in most of the Northern Hemisphere by then.
| Region | Time zone on 9 Nov 2026 | UTC offset | Earliest a 9 Nov launch could land locally |
|---|---|---|---|
| US West (PT) | PST | UTC−8 | Sunday 8 Nov, late afternoon or evening |
| US East (ET) | EST | UTC−5 | Sunday 8 Nov, evening |
| UK | GMT | UTC+0 | Monday 9 Nov |
| Central Europe | CET | UTC+1 | Monday 9 Nov |
| Japan | JST | UTC+9 | Monday 9 Nov |
| Australia East (Brisbane) | AEST | UTC+10 | Monday 9 Nov |
| Australia East (Sydney, Melbourne) | AEDT | UTC+11 | Monday 9 Nov |
The “earliest” column covers one edge case. If the developer launches at midnight on 9 November in an Asia-Pacific time zone, players in the Americas could get access on the evening of the 8th. That would be unusual for a PC indie release, but it does happen.
Likely unlock windows (not confirmed)
The rows below are scenarios, not announcements. They reflect the launch times Steam releases commonly use. They are here so you can plan around a range. Do not book time off based on any single row.
| Scenario | PT | ET | UK (GMT) | CET | JST | AEST (Brisbane) | AEDT (Sydney) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 08:00 PST (17:00 CET-style EU launch) | 08:00 Mon 9 Nov | 11:00 Mon 9 Nov | 16:00 Mon 9 Nov | 17:00 Mon 9 Nov | 01:00 Tue 10 Nov | 02:00 Tue 10 Nov | 03:00 Tue 10 Nov |
| 09:00 PST | 09:00 Mon 9 Nov | 12:00 Mon 9 Nov | 17:00 Mon 9 Nov | 18:00 Mon 9 Nov | 02:00 Tue 10 Nov | 03:00 Tue 10 Nov | 04:00 Tue 10 Nov |
| 10:00 PST (very common on Steam) | 10:00 Mon 9 Nov | 13:00 Mon 9 Nov | 18:00 Mon 9 Nov | 19:00 Mon 9 Nov | 03:00 Tue 10 Nov | 04:00 Tue 10 Nov | 05:00 Tue 10 Nov |
| Midnight UTC | 16:00 Sun 8 Nov | 19:00 Sun 8 Nov | 00:00 Mon 9 Nov | 01:00 Mon 9 Nov | 09:00 Mon 9 Nov | 10:00 Mon 9 Nov | 11:00 Mon 9 Nov |
If you are in North America or Europe, you are very likely to be playing on Monday 9 November. In Japan or eastern Australia, assume the likeliest window is the early hours of Tuesday 10 November. You only get a Monday launch there if the developer chooses an earlier slot.
We used the same scenario approach for other launches before their hours were confirmed, including the Emberville release time. In most cases the final answer landed inside one of these windows.
The daylight saving trap for a November launch
This is where many release-time pages go wrong for early November dates. Clocks change in late October and early November, so offsets you remember from summer will be off by an hour.
- UK: British Summer Time ends on Sunday 25 October 2026. By launch week the UK is on GMT (UTC+0), not BST.
- Central Europe: Summer time ends the same weekend. Launch week runs on CET (UTC+1), not CEST.
- United States: Daylight saving ends on Sunday 1 November 2026. PT is UTC−8 and ET is UTC−5 for launch week.
- Japan: No daylight saving. JST stays at UTC+9.
- Australia: This is the reverse case. Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Hobart are on daylight time (AEDT, UTC+11) in November. Brisbane does not use daylight saving and stays on AEST (UTC+10).
In practice, if you search “AEST” for a November launch and live in Sydney, the result can be an hour early. Use the AEDT column in the tables above if you are in New South Wales, Victoria, the ACT or Tasmania.
There is a second effect. The UK and the US change clocks a week apart, so the usual five-hour UK–ET gap holds again by 9 November. If the developer announces the time during the week of 26 October to 1 November, that gap is temporarily four hours. Read any converted time carefully during that week.
What is confirmed and what is not
This page grades information by source. The release date and platform come from the game’s official store listing, which is the most reliable source available before launch. Anything else is marked as not confirmed until the developer or publisher says otherwise.
| Detail | Status | Source grade |
|---|---|---|
| Release date: 9 November 2026 | Confirmed | Official store listing |
| Platform: PC (Windows) | Confirmed | Official store listing |
| Exact unlock hour | Not announced | n/a |
| Preload / pre-download | Not announced | n/a |
| Price | Not announced | n/a |
| Pre-orders | Not confirmed | n/a |
| Xbox, PlayStation or Switch versions | Not announced | n/a |
| macOS or Linux versions | Not announced | n/a |
| Download size and final system requirements | Not confirmed for launch | n/a |
| Demo or free playtest | Not confirmed | n/a |
We will not list a price, file size or console date until an official source gives one. Some retailer and aggregator pages show placeholder prices for unreleased games. Treat those as placeholders.
Preload and download timing
No preload has been announced for DREADMOOR.
On Steam, preloading usually depends on pre-orders. If a game sells pre-orders, the developer can let buyers download the encrypted files a few days early. Those files unlock at the release moment. If a game has no pre-order option, you usually cannot download it until it goes live.
So if DREADMOOR launches without pre-orders, you buy and download at the release time. Your wait then depends on your connection and the final file size, which has not been confirmed.
Good to know
If preloading is not offered, clear drive space and check your download region in Steam > Settings > Downloads before launch day. Picking a nearby, less busy download server often helps more than restarting the download during launch-hour congestion.
Where to buy DREADMOOR
The confirmed storefront is Steam on Windows PC. You cannot pay for the game yet, but you can wishlist it.
No console version has been announced. There is no Xbox, PlayStation or Switch listing to check. Crossplay does not apply at launch because the game is on a single platform. If you want to know how that works when a game spans several platforms, our explainer on cross-platform gaming covers it.
Price is not announced. When it is, we will add it here, along with any launch discount Steam shows during release week.
How to get notified the moment it launches
- Open the DREADMOOR page on Steam while signed in.
- Click “Add to your wishlist”.
- Click “Follow” to see developer news in your activity feed.
- In Steam’s notification settings, keep wishlist emails turned on.
- Check the store page again in launch week for a countdown.
Steam emails you when a wishlisted game is released or discounted, so the wishlist is the most dependable alert. Following the game also puts official patch notes and announcements in your feed. That is often where the exact unlock hour is posted first.
About DREADMOOR
Pre-release material presents DREADMOOR as a dark, first-person adventure about fishing and survival, with your boat at the centre of play and upgrades along the way. The tone is eerie rather than cosy. Treat this description as provisional until launch, because store copy for unreleased games often changes.
Post-launch content is planned: the Steam store page states that ongoing content updates will arrive throughout Early Access, including new areas, fish species and mechanics. Whether DREADMOOR is the first entry in a planned series has not been announced.
Trailer and screenshots
The official trailer and screenshots are on the Steam store page. Trailers are often reposted on YouTube as well. Use the developer’s or publisher’s own channels so you see current footage, not older re-uploads.
Pre-launch footage is usually work in progress. Store screenshots can be updated near launch, so the final game may look slightly different.
Announcement history
The public record is thin, and we have kept it to what the official listing shows:
- Store page live: DREADMOOR has an official Steam page with a trailer, screenshots and wishlisting.
- Dated for 9 November 2026: The listing shows a specific day, not a vague window like “Q4 2026” or “Coming soon”. A firm day usually means a publisher is committed, though dates can still move.
- No unlock hour yet: Developers often announce the exact time in the final week or two before release.
We have not added dated entries for showcase appearances or press events because we could not confirm them from an official source. If a release-time trailer or launch-date announcement goes out, it will be added here with the date.
Similar games to play before launch
If the boat-and-dread premise appeals to you, these released games cover similar ground. All details below are verified for the games themselves. The comparison to DREADMOOR is about premise, not quality.
| Game | Released | Developer | Common ground |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dredge | 2023 | Black Salt Games | Fishing from a boat, upgrades, creeping horror |
| Sunless Sea | 2015 | Failbetter Games | Dark seas, survival, upgrading your vessel |
| Moonglow Bay | 2021 | Bunnyhug | Fishing and boat upgrades (much gentler tone) |
Dredge is the closest match in tone. It is also a useful reference for how a horror fishing game with a boat-upgrade loop plays, if you have not tried the genre.
What happens next
Here is the usual order of announcements for a PC release like this one:
- Price and pre-order status. These are usually announced together, sometimes alongside a release-date trailer.
- Final system requirements. These are often refreshed on the store page in the last few weeks.
- Exact unlock time. This is typically posted in the final one to two weeks, often as a Steam news post or social media graphic with several time zones.
- Preload, if pre-orders exist. This usually starts a few days before release.
- Launch patch notes. These appear on release day, sometimes with a day-one update.
We will update the time zone tables as soon as an hour is confirmed. The scenario table will be replaced with the official time in PT, ET, UK, CET, JST, AEST and AEDT. If you are tracking several autumn launches, our Battlefield 6 release time and Crimson Desert release time pages follow the same format.
FAQ
What time does DREADMOOR release?
No exact time has been announced. The confirmed date is 9 November 2026 on PC. Many Steam games unlock around 09:00 to 10:00 PT, which is 17:00 to 18:00 in the UK. Treat that as a likely window, not a confirmed time.
Will DREADMOOR release on 9 November everywhere?
Not necessarily in your local time. Steam launches are normally simultaneous worldwide. A daytime launch in the US or Europe falls on Tuesday 10 November in Japan and eastern Australia.
Can I preload DREADMOOR?
Preloading has not been announced. On Steam it usually depends on pre-orders, and pre-orders are not confirmed for DREADMOOR yet.
Is DREADMOOR coming to Xbox or PlayStation?
No console versions have been announced. The only confirmed platform is PC (Windows) via Steam.
How much does DREADMOOR cost?
The price has not been announced. We will add it once it appears on the official store page.
Is DREADMOOR free to play?
Nothing confirms a free-to-play model or a free demo. The store listing does not show a price yet, and that is normal for a game that is not yet available to buy.
Why do some sites list a different time for Australia?
Eastern Australia splits in November. Sydney and Melbourne use AEDT (UTC+11), and Brisbane stays on AEST (UTC+10). A page that converts only to AEST will be an hour early for daylight-saving states.
